This Annual Statement is produced each year in January in accordance with the requirements of The Health and Social Care Act 2008: Code of Practice on the Prevention and Control of Infections and Related Guidance. It provides a summary of:
- Any infection transmission incidents and actions taken
- Infection control audits completed within the year and subsequent actions
- Any infection prevention and control risk assessments undertaken
- Staff training relating to infection prevention and control
- Updates to policies, procedures, and guidelines
Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead
Temple Sowerby Medical Practice has one Lead for Infection Prevention and Control: Catherine Meyfroidt (Practice Nurse), supported by Jackie O’Neil (Practice Manager).
The IPC Lead keeps up to date with current infection prevention and control practices and guidance.
